2020 Annual Meeting - October 21, 2020
The 2020 RSAI Annual Meeting was held on October 21, 2020, from 4:30 - 7:30 pm. Attendees had the option of participating virtually via Zoom or in-person at the FFA Enrichment Center, DMACC Campus, in Ankeny, IA. Some board members gathered at their local board room and connected as a group to the Zoom meeting too. The meeting was complimentary for RSAI members and those interested in learning more about our organization and legislative platform. Each member district was entitled to one vote, but non-members and others were encouraged to join in the conversation and ask questions.

2023 RSAI Annual Meeting - October 17, 2023
The 2023 RSAI Annual Meeting was held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, beginning at 4:30 pm at the FFA Enrichment Center, DMACC Campus in Ankeny, Iowa. Member Superintendents and Board Members were encouraged to attend. The meeting was complimentary for RSAI members and any districts interested in learning more about the RSAI organization and legislative platform. Each member district was entitled to one vote, but non-members and others were encouraged to join in the conversation and ask questions. While walk-ins were welcome, we preferred that you RSVP to help us plan.
This year, we welcome guest presenter David Peters, Professor of Agriculture and Rural Policy Sociology, Iowa State University.

2024 RSAI Annual Meeting - October 15, 2024
The 2024 RSAI Annual Meeting was held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, beginning at 4:30 pm at the FFA Enrichment Center, DMACC Campus in Ankeny, Iowa. RSAI member Superintendents and Board Members were encouraged to attend. The meeting was complimentary for RSAI members and any districts interested in learning more about the RSAI organization and legislative platform. Each member district was entitled to one vote, but non-members and others were encouraged to join in the conversation and ask questions.
In addition to setting the RSAI Legislative Platform for the 2025 Session, guest speaker, Ron Cox, of Midwest Workforce Strategies, encouraged attendees to think differently about finding a capable workforce through alternative labor pools as schools and private sector employers compete for talent during a significant labor shortage.

This year, we're excited to feature Ben Winchester, a Rural Sociologist from the University of Minnesota Extension and the Center for Community Vitality, as our guest speaker. His inspirational presentation on how to Rewrite the Rural Narrative will frame our priorities conversation. If you are not able to attend in-person, this portion of the meeting will be broadcast via Zoom
